The Great Get Together

Saturday 20 June - Sunday 21 June

The Great Get Together is run annually by More In Common and the Jo Cox Foundation. This summer we were planning to support the Darlington event in South Park which got cancelled; then at the 11th hour everyone decided that an online version could happen, so we jumped on board and will be sharing some very small commissions that we’ve managed to collect from some of our favourite collaborators and a couple of new faces.

We asked :

What do you know now that you didn’t know at the start of the year?
What would you like to have happen?

Sarah Wilson and her children created Lockdown Thursday

Michelle Tripp sent Self-portrait 2020

Kay Greyson made A Hug and A Haircut

and who knows what else we might reveal this weekend?!

Why don’t you think about those questions and make and share something you create?!

Get involved throughout the weekend, and chat to us about ways to keep this going as lockdown lifts but its effects can’t be ignored – isolation, solitude and disconnection leave scars, some we can see and some not so much, and some people won’t be able to come out for a time yet – we want to help ensure that no-one gets left behind. Join in to keep the camaraderie flowing!
