Cyber Compass

Cyber crime is a significant threat in the UK today, and cyber criminals are often self taught, intelligent, ambitious, creative, curious and socially isolated teenagers.

In 2016, Luxi worked with the North East Cyber Crime Unit, National Crime Agency and schools across the North East to deliver a project exploring the issues leading to and around cyber crime, with a focus on the moral and ethical ramifications of online behaviour. Ultimately we will develop a toolkit for teachers as part of this project and before that have a sharing of each of four pieces of theatre devised in collaboration with young people (largely year 8s).

You can follow the regional cyber crime unit on twitter for hints and tips on how to protect yourself online. @nerccu

This project was managed by Luxi and funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation under the Arts Based Learning, Explore and Test strand, with support from partners.
